Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Concert and Discussion

A community event celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through music, spoken word, and discussion. Featuring the nationally recognized student musicians from Project STEP, a non-profit classical music program for students of color. Refreshments following the event in the Parish Hall.

About Reverend V. Scott:
In addition to serving as Associate Pastor at Azusa Christian Community in Dorchester, Rev. Scott is currently the Program Director of Trauma Response and Recovery at the Boston Public Health Commission. There he oversees the Boston Public Health Commission’s support of residents and communities in their ability to heal following a traumatic events. His mission is to break the cycle of violence and to support those who are impacted by traumatic events. Previously, Rev. Scott was Director of Community Partnerships for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America where he developed a nationwide mentoring program for children of prisoners. Formerly, Rev. Scott also served as the Associate Director for Outreach as a part of the White House, the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in the George W. Bush administration.
