28th Annual Cambridge Carnival
By The People, For The People
The Cambridge Carnival Committee thanks the City of Cambridge and City departments: Police, DPW, Fire, Traffic and Inspectional Services, our more than 50 volunteers, vendors & exhibitors, sponsors and performers for supporting this year’s festival. Also, thank you to the public who joined us in celebrating the event with your enthusiasm and engagement.
You have all made it another great year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year. Keep in mind that the Carnival takes many days of preparation and input, so all help is appreciated.
If you are interested in helping once again, please contact us and let us know how you would like to participate. This is a public event, for the community, facilitated by the team of Cambridge Carnival International, Inc., run by volunteers, wanting to promote and celebrate all of the cultures and ethnicities of the world.
We thank you and hope you enjoyed being a part of this wonderful event.

Cambridge Carnival is a colorful and festive celebration rooted in African traditions. This free festival is celebrating 26 years this year and is considered a Cambridge Institution, and is the largest festival in Cambridge with thousands of attendees. The highlight of the festival is a grand costume parade accompanied by rich rhythmic musicality promoting all types of cultures. Participants can be seen as revelers masquerading through the streets in dazzling handmade costumes, dancing to the beat of the Carnival. The festival is also an opportunity to celebrate Cambridge’s diversity, enjoy international foods, and purchase multicultural crafts from around the world!
